Location: New Hope, MN
The Charlotte Fabrics team contacted us looking for a quote to move their inventory from their existing location to a brand new building. The project would require both material and labor, including teardown, installation, and planning of the new space. We knew the project was extremely time sensitive and underestimated by their team so fortunately, we were able to meet with them the same day. Our competitive pricing and sense of urgency won them over right away.
We began with tearing down 50 12-14’ Interlake New Style frames and Ridg U Rack slotted frames as well as 350 Interlake New Style beams and Ridg U Rack slotted beams from the old location. In addition to the tight schedule, we also had to source 99” beams, which are not a common size (96” and 144” are what is mostly seen and available these days) so it was a real challenge to find used material for the customer. Their entire system was based on using this uncommon size. By going with shorter beams it would cost them capacity and required them to purchase new customer tubes. We were able to source the materials both in MN and Colorado to avoid a whole new system.
Our team provided 110 16’ teardrop frames with 800+ 99” beams and wire decks and 80 16” row spacers. The project also had the interesting challenge of simultaneously installing the new racking system, which gave them the opportunity to store the new inventory properly and not in a storage trailer. To do so we brought in extra help and worked long days to finish the project within the 1-week timeframe and quoted budget. We also utilized the customer truck driver to help us move the material from the old warehouse to the new one – only 3 miles away. It was a great team effort.
“We reached out to Renegade Racking when we were ready to move from a new building. We not only needed Renegade and his team to tear down our old racks, but we needed him to provide us taller racks to maximize our new facility at a reasonable price. Renegade Racking was able to provide us what we needed in terms of pallet racking and they did it professionally and in a timely manner. We appreciate Oumar’s ability to drop by at any given moment to discuss our project and provide us with important information to make our transition go as smoothly as possible.”
